The Trailblazer Run/Walk is starting back at Microsoft on La Avenida in Mountain View.
Amateur radio net control will be in a different place, yet TBD. We will be using the 440.8+100
repeater. There are 3 routes: 5K run, 10k run, and 3 mile walk. We will need hams for the
Net Control: 2 people (Your own mobile radio and batteries required)
Bike Sweeps: 2 to 3 to sweep each route following last runner/walker
Mile Markers & water stops: 7+ people. One of these would be at the
walk turnaround which is at the end of the bridge over Central
Expressway on Evelyn Ave.
All volunteers should have a hand held radio that can hit the 440 repeater (4 to 5 watt HH).
It would be best if you also have a headset that plugs into your radio, or at least a speaker mike.
Setup will start about 7am and we are usually done around 11am.
More detailed instructions will be e-mailed to you as we get closer to the date.
